Who we are...
Anyone who processes reinforcing steel cannot get past the brand name PEDAX! Today, we are one of the leading manufacturers in the field of reinforcing steel processing, with around 150 employees, two locations and a strong service team. Thanks to a worldwide network of commercial agencies and service partners who receive regular training, we are there for our customers practically around the clock.

WHO LEADS US...
Since 2020, the Danish IBL Holding has been the sole owner of PEDAX GmbH. The IBL Group was founded in 1985 by Ivan Bjerg-Larsen and invests in real estate and companies in a wide range of industries. The management of PEDAX GmbH includes Ivan Bjerg-Larsen as CEO, Per Meincke as CSO and, since summer 2021, Rolf Brunßen as COO. The management is complemented by the authorised signatories Herbert Dingels, CFO and Markus Barthen, Service Manager at PEDAX.

HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT
WHERE WE COME FROM...
Our roots go back to the successful traditional German company Peddinghaus: The first reinforcing steel processing machines Simplex and Perfekt were built here in the 1920s. The company grew steadily and opened a new production site in Bitburg/ South Eifel in 1971. In 1972, the first Cadormatic cutting systems left the factory here. 8 years later, the well-known and proven Metax bar cutter was launched.
1997 saw the takeover by a group of investors, including the Danish Stema Engineering, which was already leading the market for automatic stirrup bending machines at that time. The former Peddinghaus Bitburg was turned into a new company called PEDAX Bitburg Maschinenbau GmbH, which was now able to offer a full range of machines for the processing of reinforcing steel.
From then on, the company succeeded in expanding further and further, establishing a brand name among construction companies, steel traders and bending shops worldwide.
Today, PEDAX belongs to the Danish IBL Group, owned by CEO Ivan Bjerg-Larsen, and is leading in the field of processing reinforcing steel.
